Update: Service Restored at Bridges Following Power Outage in Laredo

May 19, 2021 – Following the power outages resulting from thunderstorms in Laredo, the World Trade Bridge and Colombia Solidarity Bridge are now receiving traffic and entries are being processed by Mexico Customs (Servicio de Administración Tributaria or SAT). Due to the extended outage, there are presently extended wait times as efforts are made to catch up on the delayed entries.

Yesterday, the Bridges were operating with the use of generators however shipment processing was been impacted and delays were occurring as the work to restore power was being completed. The SAT system was also impacted by this outage and was only able to process empties.
