Mexico City Airport Delays in Cargo Operations Customs Clearances

Operational delays are presently being experienced at the Aeropuerto Internacional Ciudad Mexico (AICM) as a result of warehouse #10 and #18 closures.

Buckland is recommending that all Importers and Exporters of Record in Mexico take preventative actions and make logistics considerations in light of these delays at the AICM including using the Queretaro Airport or Toluca Airport.

We also encourage you to reach out to your contacts at affiliated plants, SCM contacts, and your Buckland Customer Service Representative to prioritize your shipments to minimize the potential impacts of these delays at AICM.

Buckland is making contingency plans for operations to shift from the AIFA to Felipe Angeles International Airport. We will reach out with more details as more information becomes available and will communicate any plans for your review and consideration.

If you have any questions, please reach out to AICM@buckland.com and to your Mexican Customer Service Representative.
