The Mexican Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público (Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit) through the SAT office have notified us that the rollout of the Pago Electronico de Comercio Exterior (PECE) system has been delayed until March 31, 2019. This delay comes as a result of multiple related institutions not being for adequately prepared for this change to the new payment system.
Existing Pago Electronico Centralizado Aduanero (PECA) accounts will still be in use until officials advise otherwise. Buckland encourages all Mexican Importers of Record to set up their PECA accounts in order to get familiar with PECE.
