10% Tariffs on $300 Billion of Chinese Goods on Sept. 1, 2019

August 2, 2019 – As part of the ongoing trade negotiations, the United States has announced an additional $300 billion worth of goods from China, effective September 1, 2019. The goods represent the remaining imports from China (known as list 4) that had not been impacted by the tariffs from the US.

This announcement was made yesterday, August 1, 2019, by U.S. President Donald Trump after the conclusion of two days of talks with Chinese officials in Shanghai. The negotiators from the US and China have planned another round of talks in September.
