On August 13, 2019, it was announced by the United States Trade Representative (USTR) that some Chinese imports which were to be subject to the 10% tariff as of September 1, 2019, will be delayed until December 15, 2019.
Items on the list (List 4B) which will be subject to the delayed tariffs include cell phones, laptop computers, video game consoles, certain toys, computer monitors, and certain items of footwear and clothing. This removal from the list comes as a result based on “health, safety, national security and other factors” according to the USTR.
Buckland will continue to monitor this situation and will provide updates as they become available.
