The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) wishes to inform about the upcoming implementation of the CBSA Assessment and Revenue Management (CARM) system Release 2 (R2), scheduled for May 13, 2024.
CARM Implementation Date and Cutover Period: Effective May 13, 2024, the CARM system will become the official system of record for importers and other TCPs to account for goods and pay duties and taxes owed to CBSA.
The cutover period, essential for migrating existing systems and functionality to CARM, will extend from April 26 (4:00 pm EDT) to May 13 (3:00 am EDT).
At the beginning of the cutover period, some CBSA legacy systems, such as the Customs Commercial System (CCS) and the Customs Automated Data Exchange (CADEX), will be retired.
