We inform you that today, Thursday, February 27, 2025, a labor strike has been carried out by transporters at International Bridge III in Nuevo Laredo, known as the “World Trade Bridge.” This action is in protest of the long lines and extended wait times that have significantly impacted commercial operations in the region.
As a result of this strike, both export and import operations at Nuevo Laredo Customs have been disrupted. It has been reported that the World Trade Bridge remains blocked, preventing the flow of goods in both directions.
Customs personnel are already addressing the situation to find a solution as soon as possible. In the meantime, customs authorities have opened a special lane at Colombia Customs, located in Anáhuac, Nuevo León, to process import and export operations with key 240 customs entries originally intended for Nuevo Laredo Customs. This measure aims to facilitate trade flow and mitigate the delays caused by the strike in Nuevo Laredo.
We recommend our clients consider this alternative for their operations and adjust their plans accordingly. For any additional inquiries or assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
