Yesterday afternoon, Buckland received notice from the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) that the Advance Commercial Information (ACI) Compliance Evaluation Period has been extended.
This evaluation period allows drivers in highway mode to turn around and return to the US to wait for ACI if they arrive without it. Carriers are responsible for ensuring that all ACI provided to the CBSA is true, accurate, and complete including a detailed cargo description. The evaluation period has been extended until midnight on December 31, 2017.
