Buckland has been notified by the Mexican customs authority (SAT) that a data migration has been scheduled for October 12-15, 2018 which will result in the shut down of Mexican customs electronic systems nationwide.
The planned outage will begin on Friday, October 12, 2018, at 23:00 hrs CST and service will restart on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at 14:00 hrs CST for Laredo, Colombia, Piedras Negras and Cd Juarez Customs services. Following this, another 23 Customs ports will reopen for service on Sunday, October 14, 2018, at 08:00 hrs CST. The remaining 22 Customs ports will resume service on Monday, October 15, 2018, at 04:00hrs CST.
Buckland encourages all Mexican importers to take preventive actions and plan accordingly for the upcoming weekend outage from October 12 to 15, 2018. Buckland is taking all measures to ensure that systems and processes have been adequately prepared so that there is minimal disruption to operations.
