Operations Fully Restored at the Port of Manzanillo Following Work Stoppage & Contecon Terminal Unable to Receive Import Cargo Trucks

The National Port System Administration (ASIPONA) Manzanillo has announced that operations have been fully restored at their bonded facility following last week’s work stoppages.

According to their statement released on May 21, there are no delays anticipated following this reactivation, and goods are flowing as expected.

Contecon Terminal at Manzanillo – As of 5:00 pm on May 21, in coordination with the authorities, it was determined that the Contecon Terminal will not be able to receive trucks for import cargo, due to circumstances beyond the terminal’s control. Shippers are urged not to send goods to avoid disruptions, and appointments have been automatically rescheduled for Monday, May 26. Contecon has advised that new appointments cannot be scheduled on the operational portal until further notice.
