Dear Valued Client,
At Buckland, we are dedicated to ensuring the smooth flow of your shipments across the border. To help you comply with the new tariff regulations, we kindly ask that you update your commercial invoices to include the value breakdown of aluminum and steel derivative products, where the duty is assessed on the value of the content of steel and aluminum. In addition we also require the country of melt and pour or the countries of smelt and cast for any qualifying part numbers listed.
Please note that failure to provide this information at the time of entry may result in a 25% surcharge on the full value of the qualifying goods, specifically for aluminum and steel.
If the value of the aluminum or steel does not constitute 100% of the part number’s total value, importers may use our entry details report to identify entries that may include these scenarios. If Buckland receives the aluminum and steel content values within 72 hours of release (excluding weekends), we will make every effort to update the entry before the payment of duties. Any content value information provided after 72 hours of release will be handled through the post-entry recovery process.
For expedited processing, please send the 72-hour value breakdown of aluminum and steel content information to miranswers@buckland.com.
For post-entry requests, please send the value breakdown of aluminum and steel content information to postentry@buckland.com.
Buckland has updated forms available for use confirming the breakdown of aluminum and steel content information for single and multiple confirmations here. If you have any questions regarding how to complete the form, please contact clientsupportus@buckland.com.
Commercial invoice documentation is available via the client portal at www.buckland.com.
Thank you for your cooperation, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
