With the recent announcement of the CARM R2 implementation delay to October 2024, CSCB has received inquiries regarding the implications of this delay and future planning. As these questions are diligently compiled to be sent for CBSA’s attention, it is confirmed that responses will be provided in writing and made available on CSCB’s website and in Trade News publications.
In the interim, CBSA has addressed urgent inquiries regarding activities scheduled for April. Here are the responses provided:
- ACROSS Service Disruption: There will be no ACROSS outage this weekend, contrary to the original plan.
- Cutover Activities: No cutover activities are scheduled to impact external operations.
- B2 and Paper Bond Submissions: Current state processes for B2 and paper bond submissions remain unchanged, with Customs Notices being cancelled. The CSCB has raised a follow-up question regarding the GTA B2 pilot project (CN24-10) and awaits a response.
- PAD Payments: PAD payments will proceed as scheduled and will be withdrawn on April 30th.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we navigate through these adjustments. Please stay tuned for further updates and feel free to reach out to your Account Manager with any additional questions or concerns.
