Mexican Government announced that no new Rule 8th Authorizations will be granted for sensitive goods. It impacts textile and steel components for important sectors such as auto parts and retailers. However, for impacted companies there may be some options to evaluate for continuing importing sensitive goods and reduce the duty impact, including the extended IMMEX program or VAT Certification or AEO.
