Following a work stoppage that began early on Sunday, the Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd (CP) and the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC) have reached an agreement to enter binding arbitration and rail operations will resume at noon today, March 22, 2022.
This work stoppage came as a result of a breakdown of ongoing labour negotiations between CP and TCRC over key issues of wages, benefits and pensions.
While rail movement will resume at noon today, it is anticipated that there will be resulting operational delays resulting from the backlog leading up to the work stoppage.
