We have received notification that there has been an update regarding the Single Window Initiative (SWI) and the related timelines for transitioning. The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has communicated that the service options 463 and 471 which were to be decommissioned by April 1, 2019, with the move to Integrated Import Declaration (IID), will now continue to be available until October 2019. This will include goods which are regulated by more than one Partnering Government Agency (PGA) as well as some PGA exception codes.
For more information about the Single Window Initiative, please see the CBSA SWI webpage.
